BDM – Telecoms Wholesale

A new opportunity to develop pipeline for this Global IT and Digital Services company in the UK and Europe. With the dedicated support of Marketing and a Solutions Consultant you with execute on a well funded GTM plan to sell services to and through Telecommunications Carriers in the UK and Europe.

Our client is an International communications technology company providing end-to-end ICT solutions including Network, datacentre services, cloud & managed/professional services, to wholesale clients in India, UK, Europe, APAC and North America.

Your focus will be to develop existing and acquire and grow wholesale UK/Europe based accounts for products such as: Network Connectivity, Datacentre, Professional and Managed Services. This role is for a determined new business sales professional that is happy to lead the charge, find new opportunities and create value for the business.

The successful applicant will be responsible for meeting and exceeding both revenue and margin targets across the wholesale product portfolio. This role will require someone with strong communication skills, be highly motivated.

Main Activities

  • Build, and develop relationships with existing customers and new prospects, typically focusing on sales of Network and Datacentre products
  • Identify and close higher value new business customer opportunities
  • Keep abreast of changes to the Macro environment that may affect the wholesale sector and identifying sales opportunities from these changes.
  • Lead deal qualification, proposal, closure and resourcing
  • Work with considerable latitude, pursuing self-initiated activities with minimal direction
  • Take a structured approach to daily, weekly and monthly sales activities
  • Produce requisite pipeline reports on a weekly/monthly basis and ensure KPIs are being met.


  • A minimum of 7 years recent telecommunications new business wholesale/carrier experience
  • Can demonstrate success in selling simple and complex Network and Datacentre product solutions
  • Good technical and product knowledge
  • Experience and a proven track record of success in delivering sales that require close x-functional inter-working
  • Team player, excellent communicator, strong selling, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Driven, self-motivated, flexible with strong closing skills.
