Sales Team Manager


Our technology sector client is seeking an ambitious sales leader to help drive them through the next phases of their business growth.

Our client is the largest provider of employee protection solutions in the world.  

The Sales Manager will be report to the CCO and work closely with the Marketing Director. Managing a team of approximately 6 Business Development Managers.

This is a leadership role. Coaching and identifying areas for growth, planning, identify training needs and overcoming barriers to success.

It will require high levels of energy, attention to detail, managing and motivating a hybrid team and a desire to be successful. A person that embraces change and has a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overachieving the sales plan, with a key focus on generating new pipeline in the Enterprise markets.
  • Embedding a sales methodology for winning key accounts that can be coached into the sales team improving win rates and increasing Sales order values
  • Ability to analyse sales data from Salesforce CRM to accurately forecast, drive sales improvements and measure individual sales performance
  • Driving new product uptake through whitespace analysis working closely with the Marketing team to understand key customer challenges and opportunities and develop key win strategies that differentiate our client’s commercial offering
  • Ensuring that sales have excellent bid and proposal win themes
  • Lead by example at every opportunity, driving a fast-paced cadence of sales activity across the team
  • The team is a hybrid / remote model so the ability to remotely manage in the new world is essential. Tracking activity KPI’s, Pipeline cover etc.

Candidate Description:

  • Ideally having experience with employee safety such as employee wellbeing
  • Ideally Experience of working through employment benefit scheme providers
  • A proven track record of managing a multi-disciplined sales department in business services, managed services or a technology-enabled service environment 
  • Previous experience in a regulatory environment or with a technology-enabled business service, experience in compliance or health & safety solutions would be considered desirable  
  • Experience or understanding of a subscription-based service would be helpful
  • Demonstrable experience in customer acquisition to drive high growth performances through effective sales methodology and leadership
  • Disciplined, tenacious, proactive, considerate, positive, supportive, and adaptable 
  • A good communicator at all levels – with proven ability of negotiating at C level
  • A coach with a passion for employee development, continuous improvement and high standards
