This role would be focused on events for their B2B market intelligence division who provide services for the project, energy and infrastructure finance sectors. It provides financial institutions, law firms and corporates with the latest news, data, primary research and market-leading events that help our clients pursue their business objectives.

About the Role

As Conference Producer, you will be responsible for researching, developing and delivering the conference agendas for the US event portfolio, producing approximately 3-4 market-leading events each year. You will report to the Head of Production.

This is a hands-on production role requiring excellent research skills, commercial awareness and the ability to build strong relationships across the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Content & Agenda Development

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging topics and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop engaging conference agendas for the US event portfolio.
  • Produce compelling session titles, descriptions and programme copy.
  • Ensure conference content aligns with audience needs and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor competitor events and identify opportunities to differentiate their products.

Speaker Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Identify, approach and secure high-quality speakers from across the industry.
    • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and industry stakeholders.
    • Manage speaker communications from invitation through to event delivery.
    • Brief speakers ahead of the event and ensure they are fully prepared.
    • Maintain accurate speaker records and production timelines.

Event Production

  • Manage the production timeline for assigned events, ensuring key milestones are met.
  • Work closely with operations, marketing and commercial teams to deliver successful events.
  • Support the creation of event marketing copy and promotional content.
  • Attend US events onsite to manage speakers and oversee agenda delivery.
  • Conduct post-event reviews and gather feedback to improve future programmes.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Business Intelligence to ensure conference content reflects market developments.
  • Collaborate with Sales to support sponsorship opportunities through programme development.
  • Partner with Marketing to promote conference content effectively and support the wider Events team on additional content projects where required.

Core Candidate Experience/Skills

  • 2-5 years’ experience in conference production, B2B events or a similar content-focused role
  • Proven experience leading conferences as the primary project manager, taking full ownership of the end-to-end event lifecycle
  • Confidence engaging with senior executives and inviting speakers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of what drives delegate attendance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally and nationally, to support event delivery
