The start of 2020 signifies not only a brand new year, but also a brand new decade. It also marks 10 years of Comoro. Over the past decade, within the walls of our specialist search agency, hundreds of thousands of coffees and teas have been consumed, thousands of CVs have been read and candidates have been interviewed, hundreds of people have been successfully placed in technology roles. And what better way to celebrate our 10th anniversary than with a brand new look?
The start of 2020 signifies not only a brand new year, but also a brand new decade. It also marks 10 years of Comoro.
Over the past decade, within the walls of our specialist search agency, hundreds of thousands of coffees and teas have been consumed, thousands of CVs have been read and candidates have been interviewed, hundreds of people have been successfully placed in technology roles.
And what better way to celebrate our 10th anniversary than with a brand new look?
Over the past three months, we’ve been working hard to develop a new brand and website that is more in line with where are company is now, and where we’re hoping to go.
Our new look is fresh, exciting, and ready to take on the next decade. We hope you like it as much as we do!
It’s not just our look that’s set to change. Having spent 10 years supporting telecoms and technology organisations attract the right talent for their business, we’re now ready to diversify into servicing a wider range of clients, including legal and business information service providers looking to fill sales, marketing, IT and commercially operational roles.
We hope this will allow us to diversify and grow, while maintaining the ‘quality over quantity’ approach to search and recruitment that our existing clients have become accustomed to. We’ve always prided ourselves in knowing the right people to deliver the best possible results for our clients and candidates, and you can rest assured that’s not about to change any time soon.
10 years is a long time, especially in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry such as ours.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve witnessed the dramatic transformation of the search and recruitment industry. The most significant changes have been the result of technology, which now plays a more central role in the process than ever before.
In the search phase, platforms such as LinkedIn, specialist jobs boards, and social media channels are now key, while tools such as WhatsApp, Messenger, and voice conferencing work alongside traditional telephone calls and face-to-face meetings to make communication quicker, easier, and more effective.
Another key change is access to information. When we first started Comoro, clients were still mostly informed by CVs and cover letters, now they can view candidates’ profiles on social media and search for every trace of them online.
Of course, other aspects of the industry haven’t changed much since 2010. The need to thoroughly review and interview candidates to allow us to find that all –important extra 10% that isn’t on their CV or online profile. We can’t see this changing in the next 10 years, either.
One thing that we are absolutely certain will never change is the need to build strong relationships with both clients and candidates, developing trust and transparency at every stage in the process. We pride ourselves on always getting back to candidates, even if they aren’t suitable for a particular role.
